Where
student-developed
art becomes a

lifeline.

On high school campuses across the Bay Area, students are painting more than murals. They are creating connections between art, identity, and the resources that can help them thrive.

ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN

Youth mental wellness,
expressed through public art.

The Art of Being You is a 333Arts campaign that engages high school students to design and paint large-scale murals on their own campuses alongside a professional artist. Each mural is embedded with a QR code that links directly to mental health resources.

The result is art that works in multiple ways:

  • Beautifies a space students walk through every day

  • Builds connection amongst peers

  • Normalizes mental health awareness and well-being

  • Quietly points toward help that exists for those in need

Students are not just making art. They are making a positive impact.

From blank wall to living resource.

THE PROCESS

Every Art of Being You mural follows a student-centered process that builds skills, camaraderie, and meaningful impact.

1

Students Design

Youth artists work with 333Arts facilitators to develop original mural concepts rooted in their own experiences, identities, and vision for their school community.

2

Community Engagement

Designs are shared with fellow students, counselors, and school staff so that more awareness about the program is gained.

3

The Mural Goes Up

Students paint the final mural on campus with professional support from 333Arts. The process is as important as the product - this is where the real learning happens.

4

QR code Connects

Each mural includes a QR code linking to curated mental health resources and local programs - turning public art into a daily touchpoint for wellness.

WHY IT WORKS

Art that is meaningful. Help that stays in reach.

It meets students where they are

Students see these murals every single school day. A QR code on a wall they walk by is lower friction than walking through a counselor’s office door - and sometimes that difference matters.

Student artists become advocates

The students who make these murals carry the work with them. Designing and painting a wellness campaign changes how they see themselves and their role in their school community.

Schools gain permanent assets

Unlike a one-time workshop, murals last. The art remains visible for years, growing the return on the investment in their campus and student well-being.
